Philip Gordon, a senior official in the administration of US President Barack Ohama, has made it clear that his master would prefer it if Britain were to remain a member of the EU.
Well, thanks for letting us know, Mr President, but at the end of the day, it is up to us, the people of Britain, to decide whether or not we want to stay.
We've spent forty years being a square peg in a round hole. Being part of the European Union just hasn't worked for us.
So please don't stand in the way of our destiny - and while you're at it, no more comments about "turning inwards" please. Those of us seeking withdrawal want to free Britain from its shackles to the introverted protectionism of the Customs Union called the Single Market to be able to strike trade deals with the rest of the world - where the growth is, and will be in the decades to come.
We can still work together through NATO; we still want to be friends, but please accept that we have had enough of this failed institution which has stifled out growth through bureaucracy, wasted our money, wrecked our fishing industry, forced us to pay over the odds for our food.... Do I need to go on? I hope you're getting the message.
